Mindfulness is the practice of focusing attention purposely on the present moment-and accepting it without judgment.

Research has proven its effectiveness in health and wellness. It is a great antidote to stress, and has been shown to improve physical and emotional symptoms such as high blood pressure, chronic pain, insomnia, depression and anxiety. Mindfulness can also lead to contentedness – being at peace with what is. Meditation, breath work, guided imagery and mindful movement, such as yoga and tai-chi, are just some of the ways we can practice mindfulness.

Join Dr. Martha Calihan, Turi Nevin-Turkel, and Lara Lattman for a day long retreat in VA. They will teach transformational tools for Mindfulness in everyday life with an emphasis on Mindful Awareness, Eating and Movement. You will leave ready to incorporate Mindfulness into your own life.

The retreat is from 10am-3pm; lunch will be provided.
